ImageCo is the online portfolio of Tim Garner; I've been a commercial artist for over 20 years and I help businesses and individuals sell their products, their services, and their ideas. I'm a fine artist by training, a graphic designer by choice and a salesman out of necessity. I've designed everything from billboards to business cards and what sets me apart from many designers is that I don't strive to create the prettiest designs, I create designs that are compelling. View Design Gallery > Medical Signs - Creating effective and compelling medical signs: Medical sign designs often look similar to one another because inexperienced designers often rely heavily on images too often associated with the medical industry. Sign designers that incorporate images of stethoscopes, surgical masks and scalpels aren't necessarily doing their customers a service. In experienced hands these types of images can enhance a doctor's image, but in the wrong hands they can have the opposite effect and give the doctor a redundant and outdated business identity. Another drawback to this design approach is that it often gives your medical sign a similar appearance to that of a competitors which will weaken your ability to build a strong brand for your medical practice and make it that much harder for your medical practice to stand out from the competition.Build A Better Brand Many people make their color selection based on their personal preference of a certain color but this is often a mistake when designing a sign for a doctor. Color has as much influence on how your medical sign is perceived as the rest of the design elements that define your medical sign. Whether they know it or not your customers will have a psychological and emotional response to the colors in your sign design. The psychological influence that color has on consumers is well documented and you can see it's application used throughout the medical industry. Designing quality doctor signs To become a good doctor requires education and experience; to become a good sign designer requires nothing less.
